The LibertyGives Foundation is a Colorado non-profit organization formed by Liberty Media in 2007 to encourage and promote charitable giving. To be eligible, charities must provide the funded services, be based in Colorado and be organized pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
In 2010, the LibertyGives Foundation established a permanent theme for corporate giving. The selected giving theme for the LibertyGives Foundation is to support causes benefiting underprivileged and at-risk youth in Colorado, focused on proactive and preventative services. LibertyGives is currently accepting proposals for funding from $1,000 to $150,000 from public charitable organizations focused on this theme. Grant proposals for 2014 will have a deadline of June 30, 2014. Grants will be determined by August 15, 2014, and all grantors will be posted on this page shortly thereafter.
As part of Liberty's efforts to be Green and to strengthen our relationship with our Grantees we are partnering with a software service to assist in our application and granting process. If you are awarded a LibertyGives grant you will be given access to the software to establish and measure achievements of your organization. The application process will be completely online and can be accessed via the link below:
Please do not send any hard copies of applications as they will not be considered in the granting process.
