Liberty Media Corporation Creates LibertyGives Foundation

Initial Funds Targeted at Medical Care for Poor and Homeless

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Liberty Media Corporation today announced the creation of the LibertyGives Foundation. LibertyGives will distribute funds, based on employee chosen themes, to charitable organizations within the Rocky Mountain Region.

Liberty's employees have decided that LibertyGives will focus its 2007 charitable giving on organizations addressing the prevention, detection and treatment of medical problems of the Rocky Mountain region's most vulnerable populations, including the homeless, indigent and uninsured. Initially LibertyGives plans to distribute $250,000, and is presently seeking grant proposals from public charitable organizations addressing its 2007 focus.

"We are pleased to assist our community in helping those less fortunate with the most basic need of healthcare," stated Greg Maffei, President and CEO of Liberty Media. "As one of Colorado's largest companies, we believe it is critical to support local causes."

"Good corporate citizenship involves giving back to the community, and we are fortunate to live in a city where successful companies like Liberty Media are committed to philanthropy and civic participation," said Mayor John Hickenlooper. "Liberty's new philanthropic initiative to help the less fortunate in our region will bolster our strategic efforts to end homelessness in Denver. We are grateful for this generous support."

Organizations seeking funding can forward a proposal to the Foundation via email at LibertyGives@libertymedia.com or by mail at:

                   LibertyGives Foundation
                   12300 Liberty Boulevard
                   Englewood, CO 80112

Grant proposals for 2007 should be submitted by September 30, 2007, and be related to the 2007 theme.
