The LibertyGives Foundation is a Colorado non-profit organization formed by Liberty Media in 2007 to encourage and promote charitable giving. Liberty Media Corporation has sponsored the Media for Liberty Award since 2010. The award seeks to honor journalism that cuts against the grain, forging a new narrative on the intersection of liberty, freedom, capitalism, and business. In the past, the Media for Liberty Award has been presented to several individuals and organizations who have used journalism to shine a light on untold or misunderstood stories. Qurate Retail is committed to giving back to the communities it serves, through corporate philanthropy, product donations, team member giving, and volunteerism. Over the years, Qurate Retail has generated hundreds of millions of dollars for thousands of charities worldwide through direct grants, in-kind donations, fundraising, volunteering, and cause marketing initiatives such as HSN’s St. Jude’s Thanks and Giving campaign, Beauty with Benefits at QVC and HSN, and Shopping4Good at QVC Italy.
Qurate Retail Group also launched its Small Business Spotlight program in May 2020 to help small businesses challenged by the pandemic, and conducted a second phase later that year with 40 Black-owned businesses. Since then, the program has continued to offer diverse small businesses on-air and digital exposure through QVC’s, HSN’s and Zulily’s platforms, along with various other pro-brono in-kind services.
