Liberty Media Announces LibertyGives 2010 Call for Applications

Foundation targets services for at-risk and disadvantaged Colorado youth

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Liberty Media Corporation today announced that its LibertyGives Foundation has decided to continue its support of causes aiding underprivileged and at-risk youth in Colorado focused on proactive and preventative services and established this as its permanent giving theme.

LibertyGives is accepting grant proposals for funding from $1,000 to $150,000 from public charitable organizations focused on helping Colorado's at-risk youth overcome impediments that restrict their opportunities to grow, learn and thrive.

"We know the on-going needs of Colorado's at-risk youth and want to support them in our community," stated Greg Maffei, President and CEO of Liberty Media.  "We have decided to establish this as our permanent giving theme and expect to build our relationships with causes focused on these youths."

As part of Liberty Media's efforts to be Green, this year the application process will be entirely online.  Organizations seeking funding may fill out an online application at http://www.libertymedia.com/liberty-gives.aspx.

Grant proposals for 2010 will have an initial deadline of May 31, 2010 and one additional opportunity to submit requests by November 30, 2010.
